I'm recently hooked on "Sex & the City". Everything on the show seemed so uncannily familiar that it kinda scares me. Now I finally know why it's sooo hot!!! Ow~
My first encounter with it was actually when I was in year 2 or 3 in varsity. At that point of time, the show didn't appeal to me at all. It was boring. But recently due to my recent lack of things to do, I went on a DVD/VCD marathon. Eventually when I'm done with almost everything, I picked up the DVD box again & began to watch it. It was fanatastic. I'm now a "Sex & the City" whore!!!

I used to be dear old Charlotte, a no-nonsense gal. Now I'm sorta Samantha and I can see myself evolving into Miranda. As for Ms Popular, Carrie, I dun forsee myself resembling her anytime but being in her shoes would probably be what I really wish for. A well-paid writer who parties all night, is always seen at the "in" place with the "in" crowd, gets hooked up with all the gorgeous hunks, gets great sex & can afford all the expensive shoes!!! Wow, I'll die to be her!!!

Reality check, I'm not a New Yorker living in Manhattan & I so do not like parties. Cute guys dun not come & pick me up & I dun own and cannot afford to own a Manolo Blanik. Well, I guess I just have to continue to indulge in my "Sex & the City" DVDs till I get a job.

May - the next impt person who came into my life in sec 3. I knew her in sec 1 when we were both student councillors, but she struck me as a stuck-up & teacher's pet. I didnt exactly like her for tt matter. We became classmates in sec 3 & when the form teacher assigned tasks to us, we became closer. I found her an independent gal since her parents dun live wif her. She's also relatively effluent-she's one of the first to get a pager (imagine a pager was a luxury pdt then)!
Another thing tt bonded us together was prob. the fact tt we were of similar height & built. It isn't exactly fun breathing the air up there alone. I often went over her hse & once when I decided to run away frm home, hers automatically became my shelter. I secretly named her my bestest fren after Xueyan.
We went to JC together too but it was also in JC tt we drifted apart. We were assigned to diff. classes & had our own grps of frens. When I got attached to my second beau, things got worse. Eventually we were so distant tt now I dun even feel it's alright to call her up to chat. Weird huh?
Nonetheless, I still care v. much for her & I still wish that one day we can be best of frens again.

I just read this month's CLEO & one of the feature writes actually states that I'm a lousy friend. Well actually I knew that all ago. I'm surrounded by lots of aquaintances and no real true friends. But still I wanna give credit to people that have been in my life at some points or another.

Firstly, my bestest friend in primary school - Xueyan. She's a really likeable friend. At one point of time, she was even the class monitress. She was my classmate in Primary 3 when I switched to another class. I wasn't even close to her @ that time. I only really actually talked to her when both of us were going to the prize presentation cos we came in 1st and 2nd respectively in our class. Then we got into the same primary 4 class and we became the best of friends. Of course, along the way, 2 other gers (Sherry & Qiujin) came along and we came to call ourselves the "Ninja Turtles". Times were really fun. Then the 2 of us went to another class and remained close. Being an amiable person, many people wanted to be close to her. Hence in our last 2 years of primary school, 2 other gals ( Shuhui & Catherine) joined us and we were always seen together. We called ourselves "Dong Fang Si Xia". We did simple stuff but we're always so happy. But things changed when we moved on to secondary school. I still travelled to her house to meet up with her and made it a point to call her everyday, but the idea was not reciproated. She wanted to be wif her new frens. Hence I let her go...

In primary 3, I had a fren called Lifang. By right, she should have been my closest fren since I knew her the longest. But I was fickle. We went through primary sch, secondary sch & even college together. We were close in Pri 3 when we had our weekly visit of the library but that remained as that.

I had this other close guy friend whom I still felt close to even after so long - Jingbing. We were classmates in Pri 5 & 6 and we only became close after he brought his sister to join us ( Dong Fang Si Xia) on one of our science centre trips. We would talk on the phone at night, even in sec school and in college. There was even once when my mother became so paranoid that she picked up the phone and screamed @ us to put it down. Haha... I'm quite surprised why we didn't become a couple, but I think I liked him more as a fren. He's also known as Mister Nice Guy cos he does a lot of things for me & the gals. But secretly I think it's me & for the other gals, it's more of on the way.
We're not exactly in touch now but I know that whenever either one of us needs help, the other one would readily oblige. I also hope that I'll be there for his wedding...

I'm officially single again, after 6+ years. Singlehood is good but wif all the extra time I have, I really dunno what to do. Being attached for more than anyone could imagine, I really felt lonesome sometimes. Sylvia thinks that I should be happy now that I can have casual dates. I'm going thru sooo much this week. It has been an emotional roller coaster for me. It's crazy!!! Life is really not good for me. I really need to get back in track. Someone, please help!!! I'm soooo messed up now. Why isn't anything working out for me? Am I really supposed to continue waiting?

Right now, I'm very emotionally hollow. The angel who had protected me all my life has turned his back against me. Well, it's not like I can actually fault him for that but I'm very, very, very sad.... God or someone out there, please help me!!!

I'm suffering from a terrible hangover!!! Last night, we had a night out as Rani is back in town. Before that I met up with Ling & gang. Ling has finally gotten a BF!!! I'm so glad for her & so envious. She's one damn rich person & her other half is a pilot!!! He earns at least twice as much as her, that's equivalent to my one year's salary! Darn, why are some people always more fortunate that others? Anyway she's very happy & I wish her the best...
I met up wif Nesh & Reenz at Shang & after a few drinks I was already dizzy. Imagine that even before I step foot in Gotham.
Met up with Rad, Rani, Laz, Fieq, his gf & Rani's friends. Prem came along shortly too. Aneeta went wif one of her GFs too. The place is okay-nice music but lousy crowd. By 3.30, I wanted out. Left the place myself & took a cab home. Was pretty surprised by my own actions. The old me would not have done such a thing. I would have probably just stayed on till everyone's done & follow the gang to do whatever they want. Maybe I'm a bit more independent now?

This morning I had to wake up despite the hangover to attend this relative's birthday lunch. But I was still sick from last night's drinks & loud music. I vomited water whilst on the towel bowl. Yucky stuff but unlike the puke caused by an upset stomach. My 2nd bro refused to go on my behalf so I had to just brace myself & go anyway.
We were late by half an hour by the time we reached but some inconsiderate bastards made the whole group wait for another hour before lunch commenced. Lunch was okay, considering I quite like that place.
Spent the rest of the day shopping @ IMM with my aunts after the lunch. Sigh, another boring day.

There is passionate love. As its name implies, it is full of passion and normally exists at the start of a relationship. Unfortunately, it is short-lived and fizzles out before long. However, it does not mean that old couples no longer experience passionate love. One characteristic of passionate love is that it can be rekindled. In the course of a long relationship, there will be periods of passionate love interspersed with the other type of love. True love is not only about passion. After all, it is only too easy to get carried away by our raging emotions only to discover the person ain't really who we imagined them to be.
On the other hand, we have companionate love which is enduring love. It does not have the frequent highs and lows of passionate love. Some might find it dull but it is consistent. This kind of love normally takes over from passionate love after the couple has been together for quite a while. Perhaps it can be said that it is a combination of friendship love and romantic love, where the couple becomes friends as well as lovers. Or rather, companions since companionate derives from that. The couple has already learnt how to share life and make the journey together. It is easy for you to like someone if you don't have to see them day in day out. You do not see their faults and weaknesses. You do not know their habits or how disgusting they can be. You have not seen them in action, how they handle stuff or make decisions. You have not seen them at their worst or at their best. You have not seen them perform under pressure or deal with life and death. After knowing your partner in depth, do you still love the fella? Can you accept them as they are? Warts and all? That is where companionate love comes in.

The comment mentioned that the gay couple's love was fading. My take on that is very simple. I do not want to be seen as taking sides, only my personal belief. All relationships have a honeymoon period. How long it lasts varies from individual to individual. During this honeymoon period, it can be argued that love makes one blind. Passionate love covers all the blemishes of the other party and everything is rose-tinted. Arguments happen but are quickly glossed over during this period. However, this period does not last and it cannot last. If it doesn't end, the relationship will never be able to grow into maturity. After the honeymoon period, cracks start to appear. Things you initially found charming, cute or endearing certainly becomes irritating. Your fuse becomes shorter and arguments are more the norm than the exception. Moreover, arguments increase in intensity and duration as time passes. This is a test that all couples must go through. Can your love stand the test of time? More importantly, can it stand the test of time and yet continue burning strong. Some couples have been together nearly forever but they seem to stay together exactly because they have always been together. Love is no longer a factor in their relationship. Other couples, if you look around you at some of the senior citizens still do simple things like holding hands after half a century together.

I've been falling sick very easily nowadays. Wonder if it's becoz I just quitted recently. It's weird. Even though I'm not exactly someone who likes to work, I was even contemplating if I should go and work @ Intercon. It's crazy!!! The pay sucks and it's 6-day week, but I can't help wondering if I'll ever get a good job.
Went for this interview but the place is tucked in the far edge of Bt Timah. The other two companies that responded are located @ Changi & Ubi!!! God, what'a going now? Am I gonna be jobless forever or I can only be a civil servant???
I dunno when I should go back Shang & do my clearance but I miss all of them sooo much! Reenz & Nesh broke up. I talked to her & realised that both of us are just terribly sick of guys!!! I just wanna be alone!!! My mum's right. I really should concentrate on my career first...
