Saw this article today, felt that I really had to blog about it. When I first came into contact with the "tissue paper chopping culture", I was shocked. When I meant shocked, I was really very shocked. Appalling! It was not something that I've actually come across in my 26 years of existence. I mean I've heard about it in magazines and newspapers, but it never really crossed my mind that it happens in reality. So the act of reserving seats with tissue paper is truly a Singaporean act, more explicitly, a Shenton Way Singaporean act.

So the students' way of educating people with this new tissue packs. Will it really work? I mean I'm living in this uncultured and impolite society that everyone is for himself. I don't really see it as a help. This is definitely not going to change the rude attitudes of people. I mean, it really boils down to the way people are brought up and educated. It's not a tissue pack that is going to change a person. Nonetheless, I admire these students who want to make a difference to the world. As for me, I do what the Romans do.
