Nothing much to do, so cabbed over to another shopping mall which BB claimed sells cheaper stuff. If you do not already know, most of the malls either sell super expensive international designer brands (much dearer than in SG cos of the import tax) or super lousy stuff (in terms of quality) at our average prices in SG. So I was pretty delighted that BB mentioned this place to me. But BB was keen to get his household stuff since he's moved in his apartment, which leaves me little time to really shop around. So we walked around a bit and yes the stuff, especially shoes are really tempting, and then proceeded to Giant to get the stuff he needed.
Couldn't really move anymore with the bags of stuff we got, so we cabbed back and it was followed by a whole afternoon of cleaning and scrubbing.
And because of the fact that I'm still ill, I probably only cleaned for 2-3 hours, afterwhich I just watched the cable TV till late. Then it was dinner at 9-ish and dinner at the mall where we had Fish & Co. when I went over in Jan. Didn't want to do Fish & Co. this time, so we settled for a place called Canteen. Food was so-so. Funny thing was when I asked about the soup of the day, the waiter answered Tomato Cream but when I ordered, he recommended me Cream of Mushroom and Cream of Chicken instead. But I did enjoyed my Tomato Cream in the end.
BB's canteen sandwich, which was pretty decent.
Shopped a bit more for electric appliances before proceeding home. Reached home and fell asleep to the TV showing the life story of Elizabeth Taylor.
Day 2: Woken by, believe it or not, morning prayers!!! It's quite insane to hear people chanting at 4am! No offense to the Muslims, but back in Singapore, we only hear prayers in the daytime, where everyone is awake and not in the middle of the night at 4am! But so tired from the cleaning the previous day, I just went back to zzz!
Woke up around 10-ish and all geared to go shopping! But BB had to do more cleaning and settling of his bills, etc. So I spent the whole morning watching Cartoon Network and Nickelodean. Only managed to get out of the place at 3-ish to catch a movie & grab some food.
This time round, I had the most superlicious Korean food in their foodcourt - the family feast A. But the portion is soooo big that I think it's enough for 4 pax. Definitely wanna try feast B when I visit again.
Then we caught Gnomeo & Juliet, I must say, their theatres are a lot bigger than ours, somewhat like our Omimax theatre. The show was pretty nice too.
Then we headed to get more household & sundry stuff at the "cheap" mall we went the previous day. And today I had time to shop. I bought this super cheap pair of shoes at only 35,000IDR, approximately about S$5 and also found this shop selling Korean-inspired clothings at 50% off! And I managed to grab a top at 75,000IDR (S$10+) and shorts at 80,000IDR (S$11+)
My Korean-inspired outfit
And by the time we got the sundry goods, all the restaurants were closed, so I coaxed BB into buying A&W for me. Hahahaha... it definitely taste better than that of the SG outlets when they were still around.
Overall I must say, this trip was a lot better than the one in January. I had better food, managed to do some shopping, helped BB do up his living space and BB was super sweet this trip; he didn't allow me to pay for anything, which eventually I used the money I changed to pay for his bedsheets... I'm satisfied and so I leave you with this
