2 months have passed and we've braved through more games, hopefully getting 1 step closer to our dream of opening an escape room ourselves~

Always had some concerns about visiting Escape Hunt because one friend didn't quite enjoy the games here. But soon running out of games, we decided to just give this place a go. Booked one game, The WhiteChapel Murder, just in case it falls short of expectations.

The year is 1888. You and your friends are famous London detectives who have been tasked with investigating the mysterious killings of the most dangerous wanted serial killer in history. You have found what you believe to be the secret den of Jack the Ripper, and have 60 minutes to sneak inside to confirm his true identity before he returns and makes you his next victim.
I guess all of us were pleasantly surprised by a differentiating touch. We were told to wait in comfy spongy sofa couches and were even served tea of our choice (plus a small cookie) after each game. the staff were all sweet young girls who wore super short mini skirts, which probably was a major PLUS point for male patrons. Mechanisms were decent and set-ups were ok, though there were some minor technical issues.

I guess the pleasant surprised prompted us to go for another round at this place, trying Mystery of the 27 Club this time.

You are playing a famous rock star who will turn 27 soon, and an unexplained mystery has occurred in your dressing room. Personally I enjoyed this more than the previous game with more interesting elements.

My twentieth attempt was "celebrated" by the first try at a scarier theme. Went to Trapped.SG to try the Tekong Army Bunk.
Description on website:You have been sent by your commanding chief to Pulau Tekong to find out why the commanding officer there has not been responding to HQ. Upon reaching the island, you find something odd that the entire island is quiet and creepy. You managed to get the C.O' s bunk to investigate the unauthorized operations that has been taking place there.
Rather spacious room and coupled with the eerie sound effects, we were really spooked!

Decided to start head over to JB during Children's Day and stayed over at KSL Apartment for the night! Nice apartment for a weekend staycation with friends~
Went back to Lost in JB - The Haunted House to seek out games that our faint hearts can take. LOL~
Eventually settling for Her Soul 恶灵凶宅, supposedly with fear factor similar to that of the Survivor 丧尸危机 we tried previously.
Description on website:Legend says that in this small, quiet town, there is a house where a married couple used to live.
After the wife Emily got pregnant, the two of them became eerily quiet and stopped all interaction with others. One day, a neighbor saw Emily crying for help at the window, yet after entering the house found that it was long deserted and no one was there. Since them (sic), intense crashing noises and screams frequently came out of the empty house. Everyone that passes by the house would also get an eerie feeling that would not go away.
You are a bold group of young people, wanting to leave a mark during your youth and do things no one else dared to, decided to enter this famous haunted house in the middle of the night.
Holding your breath, you pushed open the creaking door and entered the house in the living room that is now covered with dust, strange things began to happen, you will have to solve the mystery of the infamous Emily Haunted House.
As per previous tries, I enjoyed the game. The spacious venue allows for multi-rooms & multi-storey kind of set up. Only complaint was that the sound proofing could have been better so that we don't get distracted by the players in other rooms.

Being escape fanatics, we couldn't resist going for another round, especially in JB where games typically involved some form of physical movement because of the big space.
Silence 鬼寂 is the latest game added to Lost in JB - The Haunted House and we were glad to have stayed for this game! Game included quite a number of surprising elements and all of us enjoyed this new game very much, highly recommended!

Caught up with the Devils on a weekday for lunch and some escape game. Initially we wanted to go for Alcatraz but decided to for Freeing.SG in the end so that it's easier and more accessible for the ladies. There was only 1 game available, Old Changi Hospital, and so we went for that.
While waiting for the game to be ready, I also struck up a conversation with the boss and realised that his monthly rental is a whooping SGD30K! Hmm don't think we can afford that kind of places, so no malls I guess for us.

I was super excited when I saw the public game, so I immediately gathered my tribe to try it out.

An ancient board game has been found buried in an excavation near River Safari. Strange things start to happen when you roll the dice as fearsome river creatures start appearing, transforming the River Safari into an exciting game quest. You discover an adventurer who has been trapped in the board game since he rolled the dice 20 years ago, and you now have 2 hours to complete the board game or you will be trapped as well, waiting for the next adventurer to rescue you!
Technically I don't really think this can be called an escape room cos there's nothing to break out from. So the game was designed to have players going to various stations to complete some quizzes or get some information. It wasn't exactly the most engaging game but I guess the company helps to make the day a lot more fun~

Rather disappointed with the public game, we decided to go for another session of the "real" escape game. Decide on Upside Down at Xscape Season 2.

Only realised that it was a single room game but couldn't change to any other available game. It was decent and some puzzles were interesting, but would have liked it if we could have more movement and mechanisms.
