More Escapades-ING

It's been about 3+ years since I've been introduced to the world of escapes. Didn't mange to continue to list the ones I've tried in chronological order, so it will just be a listing of what I remember.

💪🏻 ATTEMPT #26

Another one overseas and this time round is in Taipei. Managed to convince YP's friend in Taipei to bring us a game in Taipei and it's really worth a try! Do check out Limitless and its games. The owner is a Taiwanese but super fluent in English. The game we tried was Prison Break and puzzles were pretty well thought out. Will definitely wanna try out the other game if I visit Taipei.

💪🏻 ATTEMPT #27

Impressed by the great setup of Limitless, I decided to visit another escape room after we visited 中正纪念堂. It was bad cos it every clue was in Chinese and even had one puzzle which required us to check the Taiwanese dictionary. Mechanism was not working very well as well. Don't recall the name of the place nor the game though.

💪🏻 ATTEMPT #28

This was a super rushed game as I took advantage of the 2-hour lunch we have to jio the HR and Account ladies to try out FreeingSG. Unfortunately FreeingSG is closed.

Description on website: Your good friend Jack has gone missing! You are very worried and you look for him everywhere. When you search his home, you come across a suspicious wardrobe and a mysterious letter on the table. Both these items seem to be clues to his whereabouts.

Not the best game around but it has one of my favourite set-up: a ball pit! Super fun to be immersed in a ball pit that is up to my chest around. Never knew that ball pits are so fun, no wonder kids super love it!

💪🏻 ATTEMPT #28

Caught up with the JC mates for some games and food. Don't really recall this game, The Secret Assignment, though I recall Escape Hunt was never too disappointing to me. However Escape Hunt has since closed. :(

Description on website: A powerful Chinese entity called the Chen Corporation has stolen top secret nuclear launch codes from the government and plan to start an all out nuclear war in 60 minutes. Your mission as secret agents are to infiltrate Master Chen’s office, find the secret command centre and stop the nuclear launch before it is too late!

My verdict: Don't remember, but should be ok.

💪🏻 ATTEMPT #29

After Chongqing Grilled Fish, we headed to Xcape to try Tomb Raider. While the name sounds super angmoh but this is actually a Chinese themed game. Quite interesting whereby we had to crawl into a underground tunnel to get into another room.

Description on website: In the inheritance of the murdered scientist, Glenn, there was a map marking the exact location of an ancient tomb built in the period of the Five Dynasties. What could have triggered the Western scientist’s interest in a tomb in the Far East? Could it be the exotic treasures, the mysterious ba gua and geomancy, or even the legends of the ghosts and spirits? Nothing seems to be able to explain why this tomb would draw the Company’s attention.

💪🏻 ATTEMPT #30

Definitely a lot better than the outlet in Clarke Quay, the Bearry Potter and the Secret Doors is based on Harry Potter and quite interesting. It must have been a while since we played cos we almost cannot solve one of the room.

Description on website: As a first year student in the wizarding school, you chanced upon the biography of the legendary Quidditch player Jordan Whittaker, who mysteriously vanished on his way to his secret training grounds decades ago. Tracing his path, you soon discovered that it is a bad idea as you unknowingly entered a maze of Secret Doors.

Finally managed an overseas trip with the JC mates before I start a new job. And of course, Escape Games need to be worked into the itinerary. Visited Puzzle Room Bangkok and tried 2 games. First game was Bank Robbery.

Description on website: Today you'll be facing your greatest challenge yet, as you and your team will be robbing a Shitibank. The bank which took everything from you! Time for sweet revenge.

Second game was Lost Symbol and I must say, the games were pretty enjoyable! Hope to revisit to try their other games.

💪🏻 ATTEMPT #33

Decided to revisit Alcatraz because we were stuck at the first stage for a very very long time on our last attempt. Still didn't manage to escape within time but it was definitely more enjoyable as all of us managed to come out of the cell.

Description on website: Alcatraz Island prison housed the most dangerous felons in America during its operation from 1934 to 1963. Surrounded by hazardous currents of the San Francisco Bay, no inmate was thought to have ever successfully escaped the maximum-security facility. Totally gonna exhaust the games at Lost in JB. This time with Fabian and Freddy. Tried Soulmate at Mount Austin.

Description on website: Yi Ling and Xiao Wen were close like sisters, never leaving each others' side since high school. And then we travelled to Sutera to try Before Midnight, which is the infamous one that you need to lie in a coffin. Something that the JC gang will never do. Hahahaha.

Description on website: 20 years ago, a famous actress mysteriously disappeared into thin air in the dressing room of studio No. 7. This sudden incident was puzzling to everyone, and many strange things have happened since then. There were shooting equipment that malfunctioned for no reason, the tea cup that the actress used was found filled with hot water in the empty dressing room, and weird sounds came out of the dressing room in the middle of the night. In the end, studio No. 7 was sealed off, not to be used very again.
20 years later, a famous director re-launched studio No. 7 to film a horror TV series. On the midnight before the day of shooting begins, you suddenly remembered that there was a prop that had not been prepared. You returned to studio No. 7, and a series of unexpected events gradually unfolded.
